SOFLO’s Marinheiro Fourth At Pan Ams

Edileide Marinheiro of South Florida Aquatic Club Masters finished fourth Monday at the Pan American Masters Swimming Championships at Selby Aquatic Center in Sarasota.

Marinheiro, 45, was fourth in the 200-meter breaststroke in 3:32.07, bettering her seed time of 3:38.01.

Earlier in the week, Marinheiro, the mother of three swimming daughters, was 14th in the 100-meter freestyle in 1:19.50.

The eight-day meet concludes on Wednesday for individual events and Thursday for open water events.

The meet has attracted more than 2,000 swimmers from 25 countries including Olympian Claudia Poll of Costa Rica.
