Several SOFLO Swimmers Honored By Florida Gold Coast

Several South Florida Aquatic Club swimmers, after an outstanding season, were honored recently by the Florida Gold Coast, the sport’s local governing body.

The age group recognition ceremony was held on Saturday, May 10 at St. Andrew’s School Auditorium in Boca Raton where SOFLO three-time Olympian Alia Atkinson of Jamaica was the featured speaker.

Swimmers honored were members of the 2012 and 2013 all-star teams, zone teams, open water teams, national Top 10 rankings and top three FGC IMX ranked athletes.

SOFLO swimmers honored were: Michael Arias, Bruno Berti, Kyana Castro, Jordan Colon, Isabella DiSalvo, Kathleen Golding, Valery Gustavo, Kylie Herman, Kelley Heron, Annita Huang, C.J. Kopecki, Juan Lucas, Michelle Marinheiro, Ervin Marin, Leonardo Mateus, Alfredo Mesa, Vanessa Mesa, Alex Monti, Bianca Monti, Brandon Moran, Nicholas Perera, Julien Pinon, Brian Quintero, Samuel Quintero, Ricardo Roche, Jessica Rodriguez, Nicolas Rossi and Jonathan Strod.
