American Heritage Boys Sweep, SOFLO’s Pinon Wins

October 16, 2014—Defending state boys champion American Heritage remained unbeaten after sweeping University School and South Florida Heat in a weather-abbreviated tri-meet at Nova Southeastern Aquatic Complex.

The boys got in only four races. South Florida Aquatic Club’s Julien Pinon won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:45.12 and American Heritage teammate Taylor Eaddy won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.18.

SOFLO’s CJ Kopecki was third in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.30.

South Florida Heat girls swept University School, 37-31, and American Heritage, 36-32.

South Florida Heat relied on its depth and diving in the five events it competed in. Diver Aubrey Quintanilla won the 1-meter diving and Rose Smiddy won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:14.78.

200-yard individual medley: 1. Rose Smiddy, SFH 2:14.78, 2. Lindsey Sauer, SFH 2:20.83, 3. Audrey Mason, AH 2:21.90.

50-yard freestyle: 1. Alexandra Pacitti, AH 25.75, 2. Ainsley Anderton, SFH 26.55, 3. Windsow Anderton, SFH 26.57.

1-meter diving: 1. Aubrey Quintanilla, SFH 211.13.

50-yard freestyle: 1. Taylor Eaddy, AH 22.18, 2. Marcos Secur, AH 24.13, 3. Jacob Rogatinsky, AH 24.29.
