SOFLO Competes At Mile By Moonlight/ Distance Swim Meet

February 6, 2017—South Florida Aquatic Club got in some good racing in the Mile By Moonlight/Distance Invite this past weekend at Boca Raton Aquatic Center.

The unique meet format featured the 1,650-yard freestyle, 400-yard individual medley, 200-yard butterfly, 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard breaststroke.

Among top SOFLO finishers were Ricardo Roche and Rafael Rodriguez in the 1,650-yard freestyle on opening night.

Roche, 17, was fourth in 16:15 and Rodriguez, 15, was close behind in 16:24. Mia Escudero, 12, was the top girls’ finisher in the mile in 21:11.

The two-day meet was hosted by the Boca Raton Swim Team at Boca Raton High School Aquatic Center. It was SOFLO’s second meet on the road.

Mixed 200-yard breaststroke:
