SOFLO Swimmers Begin Championship Summer Season At Broward County B/C Championships

WESTON—South Florida Aquatic Club’s up-and-coming developmental swimmers are poised to make a splash at the Broward County B/C Championships at YMCA Weston Family Center.

The two-day Florida Gold Coast short course yards meet begins Saturday. The timed finals begin 9 a.m. each day. The meet is hosted by the YMCA of South Florida Barracudas swim team.

B/C Championship meets are also being held in Palm Beach and Miami-Dade.

Among SOFLO Sharks’ top seeds are:

Cherill Royalty, 8, 50-yard backstroke, 45.83; 50-yard butterfly, 45.71; 200-yard freetyle, no time; 100-yard freestyle, 1:22.05.

Isabella Perry, 10, 100-yard backstroke, 1:31.92.

Francesca Perry, 9, 50-yard backstroke, 42.25; 50-yard butterfly, 42.14.

Ryan Harries, 10, 100-yard backstroke, 1:33.01.

Jordan Evans, 8, 50-yard breaststroke, 51.65.

Emiliano Cavani, 10, 50-yard breaststroke, 47.47; 100-yard butterfly, 1:41.64; 50-yard backstroke, 43.05; 100-yard breaststroke, 1:48.13; 50-yard butterfly, 41.17.

Among other FGC teams competing are Azura Florida Aquatics, Sunrise Swimming, Pine Crest Swimming, Heritage Aquatics, Pompano Beach Piranhas, SwimFast, Swim Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs Swim Club, TSA Aquatics and Plantation Swim Team.
