PEMBROKE PINES, March 18, 2022–South Florida Aquatic Club is well on its way of defending its title at the Florida Gold Coast Senior Championships at Academic Village Pool.

After Thursday’s events were weather-delayed, action got under way Friday with some outstanding swims and a few shockers.

TS Aquatics, the most improved team in the Florida Gold Coast, is second in combined (402.5) and women (235).

This year SOFLO is going after its eighth senior championship title. SOFLO qualified 53 swimmers (32 boys and 21 girls) in 301 individual events. There are also 16 relay teams entered.

Swimming unattached, Mora finished 18th in the 100-yard freestyle in 47.48, after going 47.36 in prelims. He swims the 100 breaststroke, his signature event which he won a high school state title for Doral Academy, on Sunday.

SOFLO is among thirty-seven teams from Broward, Palm Beach and Metro-Dade competing over four days.
