SOFLO Swimmers Dominate TYR SOFLO Last Chance Meet; Lumsden, Villamil, Petkov, Vallmitjana High Point Winners

PEMBROKE PINES, November 21, 2022—South Florida Aquatic Club swimmers dominated the two-day TYR SOFLO Last Chance Meet at Academic Village Pool.

Four SOFLO swimmers earned high point awards. They were:

Christie Ann Lumsden, 10, with 2,846 points followed by teammate Valentina Remmele, 10, second with 1,597 and Amber Connor fourth with 1,490.

Toma Petkov, 10, with 2,156 points followed by Michael Barber, 10, third with 1,665 and Luis Escobar, 10, fifth with 1,586.

Juan Vallmitjana, 13, with 3,477 points followed by Joshua Menezes, 13, third with 1,796; Justin Campos, 14, fourth with 1,691; and Jose Rincon, 14, fifth with 1,608.

Ana Villamil, 17, with 1,887 points followed by Gabriella DeLuna, 16, (second) with 1,857 and Michelle Marinheiro, 20, (fifth) with 1,300.

A field of 19 teams and 729 swimmers, making it the second largest meet in club history, competed in the Last Chance and Holiday Classic Meets. Host SOFLO had the largest contingent of swimmers with 192.
