Gomez, King, Bicerne Lead SOFLO At Mile By Moonlight, Winterish Invitational

BOCA RATON, January 29, 2023—South Florida Aquatic Club swimmers got the chance to race against some new faces in the Florida Gold Coast during the Mile By Moonlight on Friday and Winterish Invitational on Saturday at the Boca Raton High School Aquatic Center.

Amelie Bicerne, 15, was the top finisher in the mixed 1,650-yard freestyle Mile By Moonlight finishing 16th overall in 18 minutes and 35.55 seconds. She was third among the girls field. Dmitri Berezin, 13, was top boys finisher placing 24th in 19:03.11.

Andres Gomez, 7, was second in the 25-yard freestyle in 18.63. He also swam 49.47 in the 50-yard backstroke.

Josiah King, 8, was 12th in the 25-yard backstroke in 23.41. He was also 20th in the 25-yard breaststroke in 29.22 and 21st in the 25-yard butterfly in 28.26.
