SOFLO Swimmers Head To Plantation This Weekend For Dual Meet

PLANTATION, February 2, 2023—For the third time in the teams’ history, Plantation Swim Team will host South Florida Aquatic Club in a dual meet at Plantation Aquatic Complex.

SOFLO will have 122 swimmers (65 boys and 57 girls) compete in 680 individual events and 20 relay teams in four relay events.

Among SOFLO swimmers expected to compete in various events are: Jemma Baldwin, Toma Petkov, Christie Ann Lumsden, Ethan Phan, Ellie Phan, Ethan Hall, Sarah Bedoya, Rainier Leyva Riestra, Jianna Amores, Maximiliano Remmele, Calista Harries, Amanda Grubbs, Michael Barber, David Valdiviezo and Amelie Bicerne.

Action begins Friday with Session One at 4 p.m. followed by Session Two at 5:15 p.m. On Saturday, racing begins 8 a.m.

Where: Plantation Aquatic Complex, (inside Plantation Central Park, 915 NW Second Street. Plantation
Warmup Schedule: Friday, Session One 3:30 p.m.; Session Two, 4:15 p.m.; Saturday, Session Three, 7 a.m.
Event Schedule: Friday: Session One, Mixed 14-and-under 25 butterfly; Mixed 14-and-under 25 backstroke; Mixed 14-and-under 25 breaststroke; and Mixed 14-and-under 25 freestyle; Session Two, Mixed Open 50 butterfly; Mixed Open 50 backstroke; Mixed Open 500 freestyle; Mixed Open 400 IM; Mixed Open 50 breaststroke; and Mixed Open 50 freestyle; Saturday: Women Open 200 medley relay, Men Open 200 medley relay, Mixed Open 200 freestyle, Mixed Open 100 breaststroke, Mixed Open 100 butterfly, Mixed Open 200 IM, Mixed Open 100 backstroke, Mixed Open 200 breaststroke, Mixed Open 200 backstroke, Mixed Open 100 freestyle, Mixed Open 200 butterfly, Mixed Open IM, Open women 200 freestyle relay and Open men 200 freestyle relay.
