MIAMI, May 14, 2024—Lydia Smutny and Jonathan Li came up big on opening day of the Gulliver Summer Classic.
Smutny, 15, won the 400-meter individual medley in 5:35.34 and was third in the 200-meter freestyle in 2:22.16. She was also sixth in the 100-meter backstroke in 1:16.55.
Li, 12, was a double winner in the 100-meter butterfly in 1:14.45 and 50-meter breaststroke in a best time 36.37 dropping 1.30. He was also eighth in the 400-meter individual medley in 5:35.62.
Eight Florida Gold Coast teams competed including host Gulliver Raiders Swim Club, Hurricane Aquatics, Metro Aquatic Club of Miami, Miami Swimming, North Miami Swim Team, Ransom Everglades Aquatic Club, Southern Wahoos Swim Team and SOFLO.
