SOFLO Swimmers Headed To North Miami Swim Team Invite

NORTH MIAMI, May 31, 2024—South Florida Aquatic Club swimmers, based at the AquaKids Sharks’ Miami campus, will compete Saturday in the Florida Gold Coast North Miami Swim Team Invite at Miami-Dade College North Aquatics Center.

The one-day meet will be timed finals, short course yards.

SOFLO has five swimmers entered. They are Levi Garcia, 9, Hope Parker, 11, Dmitri Ross, 12, Mikhail Ross, 9, and Rebel Urena, 13. Four of the swimmers are looking for their first times in their events.

For many young swimmers it will be their first meet.

In addition to South Florida Aquatic Club, among other Florida Gold Coast teams are Gulliver, Metro Aquatics, Eagle Aquatics, Ransom Everglades, Hurricane Aquatics.

When: Saturday, warm-up 8 a.m., start time 9:30 a.m.

Where: Miami-Dade College North Aquatics Center, 11380 NW 27th avenue, Miami.

Of Note: Neptune Aquatics Inc. is meet host…it will be timed finals, all events swam from slowest to fastest…the meet is capped at 300 swimmers…there are no distance events being held…there is no admission fee…no heat sheets are being sold…time lines, psych sheets and results will be posted on Meet Mobile…no spectators are allowed on the pool deck. There is a special viewing area for spectators.
