SARASOTA, May 2, 2024—Izzy Wilson of South Florida Aquatic Club is among an elite field for the USA Swimming Open Water National Championships at Nathan Benderson Park.

Wilson, 18, will compete Friday in the women’s 10K National Championship which features swimmers from the U.S., Japan and France. She will also compete in the 5K National Championship on Sunday.

Wilson is the only girl participant from the Florida Gold Coast competing. The only other FGC swimmer entered is Mario Granizo of Azura Florida Aquatics in the men’s 7.5K junior national championship.
