BOCA RATON, May 4, 2023—Connor Jimenez of American Heritage Plantation dominated the Middle School Swimming Championships Wednesday at Boca Raton High School Aquatic Complex.
The South Florida Aquatic Club swimmer won four events, two individual and two relays and finished with 40 points.
Jimenez won the 100-yard freestyle in a best time 52.45, dropping 0.65 seconds from his previous best of 53.10 and won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:56.12.
Jimenez was a member of the boys’ winning 200-yard medley relay that won in 1:54.40 with teammates Rafael Passaro, Stepan Vandysh and Devin Polk. Jimenez swam third leg.
He was also a member of the boys’ winning 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:43.03 with the same three teammates. Jimenez swam lead-off leg.
American Heritage Plantation Middle School won the boys’ team title with 407 points. American Heritage Delray Beach was a distant second with 199.
St. Andrew’s Aquatics won the girls’ team title with 378 ahead of Westminster Academy with 272 and American Heritage Plantation with 249 points.
